Farm to Garden Wallhanging

I finished the Farm to Garden Wallhanging from the November 2018 Sew Sampler box.  It measures 26” square.

It is a sweet little quilt.  Read about the fabric and pattern on my previous blog post.

I used gold quilters tracing paper to quilt my floral swirl in the center of each block.  It was hard to get all of the paper off.  I hope the rest of the pieces wash away.

I started quilting with the 80 wt Aurifil thread included in the sew sampler.  It worked ok as long as I went very VERY slowly.  I ended up changing to 50 wt. Aurifil to complete the quilting.

This is my first finished project of 2019! The label came from Border City Quilts on Etsy.  It is simply beautiful.

I put triangle pockets at the top side to accommodate a hanger.  If you don’t know how to do this, see Lori Holt’s tutorial on Youtube. Everything she does is awesome.

I was actually as pleased with the back as I was the front! The backing fabric is beautiful and comes from the same fabric line.
